As another year comes to a close, we continue to push forward with projects and plans that we have programmed through the end of 2024. We want to share with you 3 of the special events that we have organized in the last 2 months. These are aside of our daily workload of a minimum of 5 church services a week.
The 27th of October the church “Nada es Imposible” had their 11th anniversary of when the church was founded. Through these years they have been in 3 different rented buildings and then they were left without a building. For the last couple of years, they have been at our school cafeteria as their church building. The Lord opened the door for them to purchase a piece of property to construct a church building and then an adjoining property was also purchased. The last payment on that property was paid last month. They have constructed a metal structure that is going to be the children’s area and that is where the anniversary service was held. Over 120 people came for the service. On the first of December they will be moving into the new building. It still has a dirt floor and no bathrooms, but they need the space to continue to grow.
On the 1st-3rd of November the youth leaders from our Xalisco church held a Mini youth camp they called Freedom at our school facilities. We had over 40 youth from different churches in the city participate in the weekend event. They made it very dynamic and with lots of special activities for the youth. This is the first youth camp that has been organized by the youth leaders of the church. Every year we hold a youth camp that has been programmed and lead by Philip & Lucy. Now others that are younger have caught the vision which will bring continuity to the events that we are doing.
The second weekend of November Lucy & Damara along with other women pastors in the city programmed and ran a Ladies conference. There were close to 200 women in attendance for the conference. On the Friday night there was a special workshop for church musicians and vocalist open to men and women with a prophetic flow throughout the time of ministry. This conference has been held now for the last many years and has always blessed the women of the different churches in the area.
In our last newsletter we asked for special prayer for Stephen. He has spent a total of over 50 days in hospital since the beginning of August and is now being attended in his home. He has to spend 12 hours a day connected to a machine to keep his weight stable until the doctors can reconnect his intestines. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. His next operation is programmed in February to try and do the reconnection.
